Dear Bluegrass Dietetic Professionals:
On behalf of the Bluegrass District Dietetic Association Board of Directors, welcome to the 2011-12 membership year! We encourage you to renew your membership and seek time in your busy schedules to attend BGDDA events and connect with dietetic professionals in the district during the coming year. We extend special thank-yous to Past President Mary Wilson for her work and leadership through the past year, and to President Elect Cheryl Marx who is hard at work planning monthly continuing education events.
Please mark your calendar for these BGDDA events this fall:
The annual Dinner Meeting will be held September 20 at Portofino’s in Lexington. Special thanks to Karina Christopher and Whitney Sanders coordinating this event.
The Monthly Meetings will be on October 11 and November 8 at Saint Joseph Office Park Building D.
The Holiday Social will be held December 13 at the E.S. Good Barn on UK’s campus. BGDDA awards will be presented during this event. Special thanks to Carol Duffy and Allison O’Neal for planning this event.
In the coming year the BGDDA Board hopes to strengthen our organization by continuing to recruit new members, encourage membership involvement, and increase our visibility in the Bluegrass Region.
Please let me or any board member know if you have any suggestions for the district. I look forward to serving as your president this year and hope that we have an enjoyable and productive year.
